Notes

Day one of the attack the 107 Panzer Brigade was at 90% strength, however at the time of this scenario it has been in combat for 24 hours and has been under artillery fire all night. The strengths above are an attempt to simulate this. KG Richter also saw much fighting on day one and by day two of the attack was a spent force. The list above is an estimate of its strength.

The Strength of 6 FJR is an educated guess; it has been in combat for several days in several locations. Many of the 101st AB division’s veterans report the use of a “British Tank” by the 6th FJR. There seem enough reports that there was probably more than one. They also consistently report “Tigers” with the FJR, I presume they mostly refer to the 559 Jägdpanthers however there seem too many reports to be accounted for by four SP guns. So the “captured Sherman” represents the 6 FJR’s tank support whatever it was.

Notes

The 101st had taken about 25-33% casualties by this stage of the battle, having been in combat for 5 days.

The 86th Field Artillery Regiment RA has temporary command of some other artillery units stuck in the traffic trying to move north. XXX Corps 3.7” guns are on the artillery grid so can fire indirect fire missions

The Grenadier Guards have been in action in the streets of Nijmegen over the past few days. Exact casualty figures are hard to come by but I've reduced their strength to reflect previous combat.
